Aromatherapy and Smudge Stick Class

August 30, 2018

At Perks of Art in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Friday, Oct 26th, 6pm-8pm.

What we’ll make:
Neo-Druid Pre-Halloween Ritual Kit for protection, meditation, and peace:
You’ll get a discussion/handout about aromatherapy and make your own herb wand (aka Smudge stick made with local organic Oregon herbs) with instruction on how to properly bind/charge them in ancient traditions. We will have fun exploring the concepts of plant magic and plant medicine.

You’ll also get a tiny vial of essential oil, a gemstone, and you’ll be instructed on how to create your own private haiku mantra (or, if you’re shy about writing, one can be provided for you).

All supplies provided. Maybe just bring some water (creating = a need for extra hydration!), a pen/pencil, and little paper/journal for notes.

Age 12 and over only. Maximum class size: 12-15.

Perks of Art will have wine (for those who are over 21. Yes, we’ll ID ya 😊) and coffee/tea.

Cost: $39.00

Teacher: Mary Lenoir Bond is owner/creator of the aromatherapy company Le Noir Bleu (www.lenoirbleu.com). She’s been working in this medium for nearly two decades now and it’s a huge passion she feels honored to share with folks. Mary’s first company had product featured in such magazines as In Style, Lucky, Self, and Elle. Mary also has two degrees in creative writing (a BA from University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA and a MFA from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR). Mary is a published poet and editor for two surrealist/offbeat literary journals, The Molotov Cocktail and Phantom Drift. She lives in NE Portland Oregon where she enjoys crow-watching, following the phases of the moon, and tending her organic garden with her life partner, writer/editor Josh Goller.
